Training Directory, Richer Search Results, and Who We Are

18. October 2026 by Adam Hepner

The weekly update covering the week of October 12 to October 18 — a handful of improvements to help you find training, understand the site’s background, and get richer previews in search.

Find a course from any term page. I have been curating a list of training providers that deliver ISTQB courses, and it is now live on the glossary. Scroll to the bottom of any term page — say /acceptance-testing/ or /bug/ — and you will see a “Learn more” section with providers that teach that syllabus area. The catalogue lists thirty-four vetted organisations across different regions and delivery modes: classroom, live virtual, and self-paced. If you are shopping for a course, this should save you the search. If you run a training business and want to be listed, the door is open.

A proper About page, and an honest look under the hood. The site navigation now includes an About page that explains who runs the glossary and why, plus an Editing Methodology page that lays out exactly how every definition is sourced, reviewed, and maintained. No black boxes: the citation source, the editorial process, and the AI-assistance disclosure are all on the record. It matters because a glossary is only as trustworthy as its editing chain.

Smarter search-result previews. Every page now carries breadcrumb structured data, so search engines can show exactly where a page sits in the site hierarchy. Term pages also link their definitions to the corresponding Wikipedia and Wikidata entries — a small change that helps search engines and AI assistants tie the glossary’s content to the wider knowledge graph. The result should be richer snippets and more accurate citations.

That is what changed this week. If something is missing or could work better, let me know.
